Evaluation Comments from OSA Sim Tech Academy Participants

  • Great workshop.  The faculty was wonderful and it was great to see other simulation centers in the area.
  • What a great session.  I feel very equipped to go back to my facility and competently run simulation.
  • Very well planned, on schedule, good locations with something different at each location, lots of good ideas generated.
  • Best to learn from those who “do”.
  • Being able to have hands-on was the most important aspect.
  • The best part was forming a network and community with participants with different backgrounds
  • You filled the gaps of my knowledge/experience of/with sim
  • I now feel like I am not alone dealing with isolated problems
  • This is the best training I have been involved in.
  • Challenging, information, honest and open!

Evaluation Comments from OSA Sim Foundations Participants

  • I appreciate all of the “expertise” shared throughout the two days.
  • The training staff brought so much dimension and support to all of us throughout the learning process.
  • This course is exceptional….simulation education is never-ending.
  • It is good to hear from those with experience.
  • Discussions packed with a lot of good information.
  • Thought provoking-I came away with many ideas to explore
  • Supportive and encouraging; the staff knew their stuff and it gave me a sound foundation for getting a sim program started and maintained.
  • Repetition of basic principles were most helpful
  • Stimulating, challenging; cause for reflection
  • It was invaluable!
  • This course was excellent-much better than I was even able to imagine
  • Manikins and technology are great but it was the staff that make this course
  • This was more than I expected; I appreciated you stressing “building and maintaining a positive productive learning environment”
  • Staff has the knowledge to lead us down the path to better understand the potential of sim as a teaching tool.
  • I learned so much; I realize there are lots of other people at my level of knowledge and there is much more to learn.

"OSA has been instrumental in bringing simulation to Oregon. It is through the work and support of OSA that I have become actively involved in simulation. Through connections I made at a simulation training session sponsored by OSA, I was able to introduce simulation into my workplace. Since that OSA sponsored simulation training day, I have been hooked on simulation and have actively pursued simulation for my organization. Due to the OSA’s awesome work, a discount on simulators was established with Gaumard Scientific. As a result of my relationship with OSA, my organization was able to capitalize on the OSA/Gaumard discount on our recent simulator purchase. If it wasn’t for the knowledge, support and passion exhibited by the OSA staff for simulation, I don’t believe I would be where I am with simulation nor would the state of Oregon. Thank you OSA for your fabulous work."

"The Oregon Simulation Alliance has assisted my simulation career in many ways. My initial exposure to the OSA was the purchase of our facility Laerdal  SimMan mannequin. The mannequin purchase was the beginning of our community simulation coalition development, simulation suite design, simulation curriculum development for hospital staff, community partners, and community college students. The OSA provided me the education and funding I needed to develop these projects for my community and myself. I am grateful for the assistance and support I received from this wonderful group of peers."
